ABOUT US

Kincaid Family

We are Virgil and Linda Jane (Janie) Kincaid, resident missionaries to Trinidad and Tobago, as well as Area Supervisors for the Greater Caribbean on behalf of the Pentecostal Church of God.

God brought our ministries together in December 2002 when we were married in Trinidad, West Indies. We are both ordained ministers sharing the same heart, burden and vision for ministry in Trinidad and Tobago and the entire Caribbean.

Virgil has been in ministry since being called by God at age fifteen. He attended Southern Bible College, Houston, TX receiving his B.A. degree in 1970. Ministry for him and his late wife, Joy, began in East Texas, and then took them to Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. He has served the Pentecostal Church of God as district and regional youth director, district secretary-treasurer, district presbyter, district bishop, assistant general bishop, and divisional home missions representative.  He currently serves on the world missions board and remains an honorary member of the General Board of the Pentecostal Church of God. He has ministered throughout the United States and abroad.

Janie and her late husband, Jerry, were involved in singles ministry, evangelism, and pastoring in North Texas before sensing the call to Trinidad, West Indies in 1989. We sold our possessions and dedicated a year of our lives to Trinidad to work with one church we had at the time. Shortly we realized a year was only a beginning. Returning to the states in 1990 we were appointed missionaries to Trinidad and Tobago. That small beginning has now grown to thirteen churches in Trinidad and two in Guyana.

Katherine Elizabeth (Kate) Kincaid, the youngest of our eight children, was also a very vital part of our team until she entered college.  She is now a vibrant twenty year old and is a miracle herself. Stricken with cancer at the age of two she was not expected to live. Prayer from literally all over the world was offered for her during her one hundred and sixteen days in the hospital. She stands as a testament to God’s healing power. She loves music and is looking forward to completing her degree majoring in elementary education and eventually plans to become involved in full time ministry.

All of our other children are married and reside in the States.  God has blessed us with sixteen wonderful grandchildren!

We've often been asked “What’s the hardest part of being a missionary”?  The answer is being separated from our family.  There is the cry of the flesh that longs to be with the kids and grandkids.  But there is a greater cry of the heart to be where God wants us to be!  He has blessed us with a wonderful family of Caribbean sons, daughters, grandchildren, Moms and Dads, brothers and sisters.  No matter what country we are in, He always provides.  We truly are blessed!
